During this week, I learned a lot of things about myself. The first thing I learned is how uncoordinated I am with my fingers. Secondly, I figured out how difficult it is to actually start learning how to play the guitar, especially not playing any other instrument before. The chord transitions are so hard to learn and I saw where someone said on the internet to try to learn how to do chords without looking at the guitar. He said that it would help you learn faster. I can't do that quite yet but I feel like I'm making a lot more progress. Update from last week, my fingers were very sore going into this week, but now they actually aren't that bad which really surprised me. I was getting to the point where I was almost 100% sure that they were going to get blisters, but after about the 2nd-3rd day of the week, the soreness started to go away and now my fingers aren't really sore at all. I think what I need to focus on this week is learn how I want to learn and to do what is easiest for me, whether that's looking at what I'm doing or not. This next week my goal is to work on more chords and get the chords I know down pat. It'll be hard to practice as much as I'd like to with this upcoming week due to the fact that I have three games, and one of them is away at 7 PM. I'm still having a lot of fun with it so far. Whenever I start getting frustrated, I just tell myself that I'm still learning and that I haven't picked up an instrument before this.

This week was a really hectic week with lacrosse starting so I wasn't able to practice as much as I would've liked too. I practiced about 15 minutes every night which was 15 minutes less than what my daily practice time goal was. I learned some new chords like the G and C chord which were the best sounding chords in my opinion. At the end of the week I couldn't help but notice how sore the tips of my fingers were. It was getting to the point where it hurt just to do chords. I told my grandfather how sore my fingers were and he laughed. He said that playing guitar will make your finger tips very sore but that it would toughen them up like crazy. Hopefully by next week my fingers won't be as sore and I'll be able to practice more and learn more chords. I tried doing a couple of transitions from one chord to another but my fingers kept sliding across the strings and it sounded rough. I think this will get better over time due to more experience and learning new techniques. So far, I just need to learn how to do more chords and then I'll focus on chord transition and then work towards playing songs.
